Gilberts Principal Update 26-27

Welcome to the 2026-2027 School Year!

I am very excited to join the Gilberts community for the upcoming school year.  I look forward to meeting returning students and all of our new students in the next few weeks! It is going to be very exciting to have our building filled with students and staff again!

At Gilberts we believe that each student is Grizzly Strong and belongs here! A sense of belonging is one of the strongest contributing factors to a successful school. When students feel like they belong they are excited to learn and grow. We look forward to working with each student in our building and helping them achieve their full potential.

Gilberts will remain committed to providing not only a safe and welcoming learning environment, but also one that is committed to high levels of learning.  Teachers and support staff will be using high quality instructional materials to support rigorous learning within the classrooms.  Students will be learning not only their grade level content, but also skills to support the retention of what they have learned and its application to new content.  Some of these skills include communication, discourse, collaboration, critical thinking and more. 

Please make sure to watch your emails regularly for updates on important things happening at Gilberts and ways you can support your child at home.  I am looking forward to a great school year!
